Been traveling this road for many years
Gauging my steps and shifting my gears
Sometimes with a smile and
At other times with tears
Yet, come what might
I will continue my work
And persevere in my fight
Until I reach the end of my road
Where Heaven’s greeters shall lift
My last earthbound load.©
