Have to go to the funeral of a writer friend and say a final goodbye, today.
Here is a poem that feels like it needs to be written.
I got the chance to skip
After I had learned to walk
And before then, crawl
I got the chance to work
After I had learned to play
I got the chance to experience
Life to its fullest, y'all
But, you know what I am proud of most of all
I got the chance to serve the Lord, my GOD in the plan
That HE had written before I was born
As a teacher, minister's wife and writer
To help place encouragement in the lives of man.
Doing What I Can, While I Can Because I Care,
