I Care Not

I Care Not

"I care not," she said
I care not at all
Though she had been pushed until
Her back was against the wall.

I care not, she showed
"I care not," she said
And she took her beleaguered self
On down her appointed road.

To Think About
1. Define beleaguered.
2. What is meant by the phrase, on down her appointed road?
3. What do you think is happening in the poem? Why?
4. If the poet's back were against the wall, how could she go on down the road?
5. What do you think the poet is trying to say to mankind?
6. What seems to be this poet's view of life? What in the poem did you base your answer on?
7. Do you agree with the poet's view of life? Why or why not? Think of a scripture to substantiate your answer.

Good morning, y'all. Today I decided to go the thinking route with a poem of mine. I hope it blesses you.

Doing What I Can, While I Can Because I Care,
