Proverbs 22:2 & Chapter 23:17-18, 26
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Chapter 23, Verse 17 Do not let your heart envy sinners,
But live in the fear of the Lord always. (And here we are being told not to worry about anything when it seems that sinners are getting ahead.)
18 Surely there is a future,
And your hope will not be cut off. (We were told not to be envious of sinners because GOD has plans for our future.)
Chapter 23, Verse 26 Give me your heart, my son,(This is where a child of GOD is being told to put HIM first with joy.)
And let your eyes delight in my ways.
Chapter 22, Verse 2 The rich and the poor have a common bond,
The Lord is the maker of them all. (Rich and poor, alike, will have to give an answer to GOD.)
If you seek to have an intimate relationship with GOD,
You can be sure that HE is aware
Of it and will look upon you with favor
And let's remember that HIS favor lasts our entire lifetime
Which means that no matter what we go through,
HE is aware and is right there
Even though at times we become weak
And almost give in to despair
So in these hard economic times, remember
That HE sees, knows, and cares.©
